Until a year or two ago, we bought and used WBU bird seed, storing it and using it without any problem. More recently, it seems to contain something that hatches moths or moth-like insects. The issue has become troublesome enough that we have quit feeding it. Has anyone else noticed what seems to be a change in WBU bird seed or its' processing?

I usually get only peanuts from WBU but I've seen this occasionally from other sources.  When the bug eggs that are present in almost all stored grains begin to hatch out, it can indicate the seed is old and / or improperly stored.

Most WBU owners I've dealt with are pretty conscientious.  Bring the seed back and show them the problem (outdoors!) and they'll probably offer replacement seed or store credit.
